PIP was the VERY first REAL gig I'd landed (Never thought dancing with a broom could be so much FUN!). So very much of what I saw and heard there helped focus my attention on the performing arts and I am forever grateful. I went on to Westminster Choir College (Vocal Performance/Education), then to study German Lieder at the Mozart Conservatory <<Akademie Mozarteum>> (Salzburg, Austria), the Salzburger Musikschulwerke and Salzburg College (German Art History and German under the auspices of University of Miami's Opera program), The Academie Royale de Musique in Brussels, Belgium (French Chanson). I have since enjoyed teaching voice/Interpretive coaching, writting libretti, directing and conducting.
Having recently become somewhat paraplegic, there are not a bunch of calls for disabled performers or a lack of directors up to the challenges which that casting may create. I now focus my energies as CEO of savvyplanners.com - A GLBTI and Traditional Wedding and Events firm; still coaching, directing and singing where the opportunities present themselves and, once every so often, thinking back fondly on the motivation and direction that PIP provided me!
Best wishes to you and the thousands of performers whose lives you've enhanced! BRAVO! |
